In a cramped, lamplit cafe on a winding street, three old men stuff themselves and dance as if fleeing death itself. A fortune-teller appears to seal their fate, and they set off into the thick, dark night. With toy pistols in their pockets and a fever in their bones. Their quest leads them to a house ablaze, which they enter one by one, with silent reverence, forever transformed by the flames.
Directed by Michał Wilk, this film is about men who have outgrown their own sense of wonder - and about a night when they rediscover it. The story moves from the theatricality of the banquet to the silence of the fire: a ritual of transformation, performed with unflinching ferocity. The project is currently in pre-production, with filming scheduled for May 2026.
